level two ultrasound today!

Hi ladies!

So I drank some apple juice and water before my appt and had a high calorie meal too and prayed that baby would cooperate. When I got there the receptionist said in the system it said I was there for some OTHER test, my husband and I just looked at each other lol. I told her they just called and told me they needed additional images. I saw the technician she was really nice and she confirmed that she only needed a few additional images including the four chambers of the heart. Baby was NOT cooperating after the apple juice and everything, baby is very "chill" in there lol. Kept laying on his side. The technician had me roll on the table and held me so I didnt fall I even tried jumping up and down. The babys arm kept getting in the way but he finally moved the slightest bit. She showed the radiologist the images and he said they were good enough. I get the results in a few days from my obgyn. Hopefully its all good news!

level two ultrasound

The place where I had the Level II ultrasound just called and they want me to have the test done again this time by a radiologist in order to obtain additional images because of the babys position. 

Its a baby boy!

BOY!!! SHOCKING! So I went for my level two ultrasound today and the technician (she was soo nice!) asked me if I wanted to know the sex and my husband and I said yes, then I said but Im sure it is a girl because I have a strong feeling and the last ultrasound I had when I did the NT scan the technician was 70 percent sure it was a girl she even showed me but I guess it was too early to tell. So today, I asked the tech really, really? She said yes a boy definitely and then said look boy parts lol. I feel bad because my daughter was really hoping for a baby sister she cried when we told her. I think she will love having a little brother. We are so happy and excited. I guess we need to start thinking of boys names. I am still really suprised!

The level two was an hour and a half long and I almost fell asleep towards the end. She had me take a bathroom break 30 minutes into it because she said my bladder was very full. She also have me a lollypop to get the baby to turn but I didnt help. The baby weighs 8 oz and heart rate is 145.

I will scan the ultrasound pictures I have later or tomorrow I have no internet and am typing this ifrom a friends house.

I went to Motherhood Maternity yesterday and they were having a great sale! I bought a couple pairs of pants, jeans, shirts, bras and underwear! They also gave me a bag with coupons, free samples, etc so nice! I was tempted to buy a nightgown for the hospital but I think I want to wait plus they didnt have much of a selection of pj's. I was so happy that they carried petite, unlike some dept stores that don't! After shopping we went to Panera for lunch, it was a nice afternoon. I tried on everything when I got home, the only complaint I have is their jeans with the panel. I rolled it down but everytime I walk the jeans slide down. Maybe I got a size to big? I tried them on in the store and they fit fine. Any advice?
Since we were at the mall I took my daughter to Build a Bear and they have a baby section! I was so tempted to buy something for baby I still haven't bought anything for baby yet, I was so tempted but I am holding out. When I was pregnant with my daughter I bought something for the baby before I was even in my second trimester

4/25 spina bifida

So my obgyn called me back and said the results of the second blood test came back normal but he wants me to have a level two sonogram anyways. I cancelled my appointment for today and am rescheduling at another place, because I don't want to risk getting the same techincian anyways, there are only two techs that work there. I breathed a sigh of relief but I am still a little concerned. He said sometimes false positives happen, scary thought.

4/23 spina bifida

My obgyn called me this morning and said the results came back abnormal for spina bifida. They are going to do a detailed ultrasound and repeat the test. I could really use your prayers. Thank you.

4/20 weight gain

I gained seven pounds in one month!

4/19 OB appt

I had my appt this afternoon. My obgyn used the Doppler and we heard the baby's heartbeat. I felt so relieved. I has blood work done to test for spina bifida. The nuse is very sweet. She tried twice to get blood from each arm ow after that was unsuccessful, she went through my right hand, it hurt like heck but I was glad it was over. It was very warn in the office nd I had woken up with a headache that kept getting worse. On the way home it was a full blown migraine. I had a can of Coke and two regular Tylenol. 15 minutes later I threw up. I took an hour nap and my head still hurts I'm wondering what to eat to not worsen my head or make me throw up again. I have a ob appointment this Thursday. I am nervous and excited because as I mentioned I haven't been feeling the baby move much at all. I know I am only 16 weeks but this is my second child and I was hoping to feel baby move. I will feel more at ease after my appointment Thursday. I am also getting a blood test to check for spina bifida.

Ok so last week I swear I felt movement felt like a tiny fish swimming tickling sensation but for the past couple of days I have felt nothing. I am 14 weeks today. I am trying not to panic or anything but it's times like these I wish I had a doppler to check the heartbeat. My boobs are still very sensitive and I am still feeling tired but also stressed out and crying due to my dogs diagnosis. My next appt isn't until the 19th of April for the spina bifida blood test and the obgyn is going to use a doppler to check the hb. My next u/s will be when I am 20 weeks

3/29 feeling baby move :)

Yes! I mine feels like a goldfish too! When I press my hand on my lower stomach I feel it especially at night after I drink cranberry juice. Isn't it great!

3/23 NT scan

Hello! I had my NT scan today. It was a very long wait. First we met with the genetics counselor for about 45 minutes she was very nice and explained everything about the test I was about to have and told me about CVS and Amnio which are more invasive (her words). After I met with her I was brought into the room to have an ultrasound. The technician was not very nice she was very serious and my husband was typing something on his Samsung Tablet and she said please no recording. He said I am not recording and he wasn't. He had a conference call and was sending an email. She said I will kick you out of this room, ugh After that I was more of a nervous wreck than before. My face lit up though when I saw my baby. Could not believe how big the baby is already at 12 weeks, it was moving around and even sucked it thumb. My next appt is May 7th that is when they will check the sex of the baby. The results of the NT skin fold was 1.7.

3/18 Free baby stuff!

One of the neighbors in town was giving away free baby stuff today and I scored! I got an exersaucer, some baby clothes and a walker is mint condition! Im excited because we had a flood after pur daughter was born and we were unable to save any of her baby toys, books etc. Monica

 

so sick 3/17

Went to my doctor yesterday because of the bad migraine headaches, coughing all day long, congestion, etc. She said my throat was red and my glands very swollen. She prescribed me Amoxicillin 500mg to take for 10 days and she told me to use a saline nasal spray and Sudafed for my allergies and Tylenol for my headache. All I want to do is sleep but its hard when your head is killing you 24/7. Also my skin is breaking out badly and I'm not sure if its a result of being sick or what.

NT scan!

 I just scheduled my NT scan! It is 3/23 at 11am. I am excited and nervous. I don't want to have to wait that long

3/13 maternity tops

Im wearing maternity tops. I bought maternity pants but they are too big so I am just wearing a larger size in pants.

 

food aversions 3/09

m craving cream cheese and tomato on english muffin, I had three the other day and felt so stuffed. I am also craving lemons and limes and edy's fruit bars. I am craving ice cream. I also have plenty of aversions like chicken, meat.

 

2/18 cute puppy

I saw the most adorable puppy from Lamaze today but didn't buy it because my inlaws are spending the weekend and we have not told them that I'm pregnant. I guess also I am a little scared to buy anything yet because of the bleeding from the hematoma. I think I am going to wait until I am in the second trimester. I hope I can wait that long!

2/17 dr's appt update

I am back from the doctor. I gave a urine sample and the obgyn did an exam. She said there was blood in the vagina and ordered an ultrasound. I waited what seemed like forever. During the ultrasound the technician didn't say a word and I was getting nervous. After a lot of probing she showed me the u/s screen and I saw my baby's heart beating and sighed with relief. When I spoke to the obgyn she told me I have a small subchronic hematoma behind the placenta and it is very small and I should not be too concerned. Since I am B negative anytime and there is bleeding I have to have a rhogam shot. Since this is a new doctor, my old obgyn is hours away. I had to go to the hospital which thankfully is next door and give blood. Went back to the doctors office where they got the results from the hospital and the nurse gave me the shot.

I called my obgyn and spoke to the nurse who wants to see me at 10:30 this morning. She said they are going to do a culture.

2/17 Am I losing my baby?

Hello everyone. I peed a couple of minutes ago and in the toiilet and my pee was pinkish red. I thought I saw a tiny clot but I'm not sure. I do not feel crampy. I am scared and am going to try and make an appointment today. I pray to God that I am not losing this baby.

Hello everyone! Clothes are starting to fit tight and I am living in yoga pants lol. My jeans still fit me but I have to pull them way up because I am already showing. I don't want to have to buy maternity clothes just yet Anyone else

After I peed there was brownish pink on the toilet paper. I spotted when I was pregnant with my daughter and I am having no other symptoms but I am still a little worried. Also last night I ate something that didn't agree with my stomach. I felt crampy afterwards and ran to the bathroom several times. I hope everything is ok ..

2/11 Hungry!

Just got back from the supermarket and spent over $200 on food Never take a hungry pregnant woman food shopping with you, hahaha

We got good stuff and a lot of it was needed. I was craving unsalted tostitos and organic guacamole. Unfortunately when I got home the chips were too salted and was only able to eat a few but it was still really good. I also had a turkey sandwich heated with tomato and am drinking my water like a good girl. I cannot wait to have my frozen yogurt after dinner tonight!

mmmm i love chicken pot pie I was going to buy lemons at the store and I forgot :/ I'm not crazy about gingerale I actually prefer the taste of 7-up but both help me when I feel nauseous. I was going to buy ice pops but they didnt have the kind I like. I love pretzels but they turn my stomach for some reason now

first ultrasound appt! 2/8

I have my first ultrasound tomorrow at 1:30! I am excited and nervous. They told me to drink 24 to 32 oz of water an hour before. Please wish me luck thank you!

At first the tech did the ultrasound where she puts the jelly on my belly lol and wasn't able to see anything. Then she did a transvaginal u/s and she looked at my ovaries which she said looked good and she wasnt saying anything for awhile and I was getting nervous. She told me the baby is the size of a grain of rice and told me I see the heartbeat. We tried to hear it but it is too small. She showed my husband and I the baby and it was so tiny and we saw the heart flickering, amazing She printed out a picture but it is so tiny. I will scan and upload in a little bit She said my due date is October 2nd. Yay

2/7 feeling awful

I feel really queasy and nauseous today. I should be happy that today is my last day of taking antibiotics. I just feel mentally and emotionally exausted. I wish I felt happier. I also hate what I see when I look in the mirror. I feel huge and uncomfortable. Thanks for listening...

I am so exausted today. I took an afternoon nap for about an hour. I never take naps! I went to bed around 9:30 last night. I usually go to bed around 10:30 or 11. My daughter wakes me up around 6am every morning. I just had an apple and I hope it gives me some energy!

Does anyone have any cravings or aversions yet? I have been craving fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit and salad. Although for lunch today I had a cheese sandwich and homemade chicken noodle soup. Thankfully I have no aversions...yet

My first pregnancy I craved V-8 tomato juice, not sure why never liked it before I was pregnant. I craved cheeseburgers from McDonalds, real healthy I know lol. I also craved fresh fruit smoothies with yogurt and cheesecake

My obgyn told me that I am going to have a c-section. I had a c-section with my first baby. The reason why I had a c-section is because my of failure to progress in labor: and my cervix did not dilate completely.

I'm not sure why I havent been given the option to have a VBAC. I am a little worried about complications after the c-section However, I have heard that a planned c-section is better than an emergency one, my first c-section was an emergency one. . If it is better for the baby and myself I will do it. I am just worried about complications after.

I am wondering all of your thoughts on this? Thank you.

My back is killing me so I thought a warm shower would help. My six year old daughter walked in the bathroom while I was getting in the shower and commented on how huge my boobs are LOL

The nurse called me yesterday and told me my number is 2,749 which she said is a great number
I have to find the piece of paper but I believe when I had my blood test last week it was 238

 

1/31/12 Baby looking forward to..

I love this question! I am most looking forward to telling people, getting an ultrasound and seeing the baby. Going shopping for baby clothes,toys etc!

baby 1-30 dr's appt

Had a doctors appt today and they took blood. I will have the results tomorrow afternoon too see if my Hcg levels went up. The nurse told me I don't need progesterone this time around because my levels are good.
My legs feel sore when I walk the dogs, hmmm

1/28/12-Sick

Ugh. I just got back from the doctor because I have been coughing for a couple of days. She prescribed me Amox 500 mg to take three times a day for 10 days. It is a class B drug and has not been known to cause harm to an unborn baby. I am still worried and wondering if I should take it. The doctor said my glands are very swollen. I haven't been sleeping much at night because of all the coughing. If you were me would you take it

My Hcg was 268 when i took my blood test last week and I have to take another blood test Monday. The doctor wants to see the number go up, I hope it does!

Doctor's appointment went great today! The doctor did a pap smear and they took blood, I will get the results tomorrow! They also did a urine pregnancy test and confirmed that I am pregnant. I have an ultrasound in two weeks

Hello ladies!! I have my first obgyn appointment today they are going to do a blood test. I'm not sure if they are going to do an exam or not. They said my first prenatal appointment will be when I am 8 weeks so I guess next month I am excited but a little nervous because we live in a new town and I am going to be seeing a new doctor.
When I took my pregnancy test it was a first response and it was the day before my period is due and I got a yes. I was going to wait to test but I was too excited. I have not taken any other pregnancy tests mainly because they are expensive and a blood test is more accurate anyways

Baby!

I found out I was pregnant with my second child in January. It was a day before my period was due and my last period was 12/27 I just had a strong feeling and had been feeling hormonal. I felt mixed emotions when I took that pregnancy test! I went food shopping with my husband and did not say anything until we got back from the supermarket he seemed suprised and said congrats and gave me a big hug. :)
